We are a network of private practice providers offering behavioral health support to Bay Area children and their families. We work with multi-cultural, single-parent, alternative, LGBTQ, adoptive, and blended families. All are welcome! We offer individual and couples counseling for parents, and developmental and behavioral health support for children from birth up to 18 years of age.

Here is a little about us:


Kelly Ransom, PhD

Kelly is a California licensed Clinical Psychologist (#27453) and a specialist in early childhood mental health and perinatal psychology. She has worked with children and families of diverse cultural backgrounds for over 20 years, providing:

  • Child-Parent Psychotherapy and Infant-Parent Psychotherapy for parents and children from birth to 5 years old
  • Child-Centered Play Therapy for school-aged children
  • Women’s mental health support, postpartum depression screening and treatment
  • Couples psychotherapy based on Emotionally Focused Therapy

Kelly completed her clinical training at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland in the Early Childhood Mental Health Program, and at the UCSF Infant-Parent Program at San Francisco General Hospital, part of the UCSF Division of Infant, Child, and Adolescent Psychiatry. Her PhD was earned at the American Psychological Association-approved Clinical Psychology program at Fielding University in Santa Barbara, CA. Herself a parent of children who were hospitalized with medical problems at birth, Kelly has a particular interest in supporting parents of children with developmental diagnoses or medical issues such as premature birth, genetic problems and chronic illnesses.



Amanda Urena, MFT

Amanda is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#52553) who specializes in psychotherapy with ‘tweens, teens, and young adults.

Amanda received her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. Amanda’s professional training and experience includes working with pre-adolescents, teens, and young adults with a history of trauma, depression and anxiety. As a bilingual therapist, she is familiar with multicultural issues and has experience working with families across the socioeconomic landscape.

Amanda draws from a variety of theoretical models and techniques to incorporate what is most beneficial for your child.  This eclectic approach incorporates the following modalities:

  • Psychodynamic and Relational Therapy
  • Somatic Psychology / Body Awareness
  • Cross Cultural Therapy
  • Narrative Therapy
  • Attachment Based Therapy
  • Mindfulness Psychotherapy


Allied Providers

Michael Theurkauf, ET/P

Michael is an Educational Therapist and academic coach who primarily works with children aged 12-18. He provides educational therapy services to children in middle and high school, including:

  • Organizational and study skills
  • Reading and spelling remediation
  • Written expression
  • Math support

Michael also provides services to elementary school children on occasion, as well as K-2 early literacy screening. With our team, he provides consultation as an adjunct to psychotherapy, and one-on-one academic coaching for children that is closely integrated with any psychological treatment plans in place.
